Responded to a service call for a Lennox EL296V air handler not providing cooling. Discovered three pleated filters improperly installed in the return duct, severely restricting airflow. Removed unnecessary filters, leaving only the OEM 1-inch filter in place. Checked blower operation and refrigerant charge. System resumed normal cooling function within manufacturer's specifications after correcting the airflow issue.
